growing pains

Yesterday, as I was waiting at the dentists office, the woman next to me was trying to explain that Star Wars wasn’t real to her son.  He was about….7?  I was cracking up at the things he was saying.

When asked if he ever saw a space ship in real life he responded “Yeah, all the time.  Up in the sky.”

His mom replied with “You mean airplanes?”

“I see airplanes but I see space ships too.  Also, Dad is a Jedi.”

Mom: “Your father is not a Jedi.  They aren’t real.”

Kid: “Yes he is.  You can learn Jedi stuff.  You don’t know what you’re talking about.”

This went on and on and I was laughing to myself thinking about how one day, I’m going to have conversations with Jax about these kinds of things.
